Purine Nucleoside. Adenosine 3 mg / ml.
Vials. Sol. for IV inject. 6X 2 ml
Adults:
Initial dose: 3 mg g as a rapid IV bolus (over 2 seconds).
Second dose: If the first dose does not result in elimin. of the supraventric. tachycard. within 1 – 2 min., 6 mg should be given also as a rapid IV bolus.
Third dose: If the second dose does not result in elimin. of the supraventric. tachycard. within 1 – 2 minutes. 12 mg should be given also as a rapid IV bolus. See full Prescr. details.
Rapid convers. to normal sinus rhythm of paroxymal supraventric. tachycard. incl. those assoc. with accessory bypass tracts (wolf parkinson-white syndr.).
C/I:  Hypersens./Sick sinus syndr./second- or third-degree Atrio-Ventric. (AV) block (except in patients with a funct. pacemaker)/Chron. obstruct. lung dis. with evid. of bronchospasm (e.g. asthma bronchiale)/ Long QT syndr./Sev. hypotens./Decompen. states of HF.

Indic. only when an organ. resist. to all other antibiotics is suspect.
in adlt and ped. ptss for tmt. of infect. when known or suspect. to be caused by suscept. organ. incl. those assoc. with concurr. bacteraemia such as:
1) Pneumonia - community acq. and nosocomial pneumonia incl. multi drug resist. streptococcus pneumonia (MDRSP).
2) Skin and soft tissue infect. incl. diabetic foot infects.
3) Enterococcal infect.
 Linezolid is act. against Gram–posit. bacteria only.  Comb. ther. may be indic. if a concom. Gram-negat. pathogen is doc. or suspect.
C/I .  Hypersens. Breastfeed. Concom. use with MAOi A or B (e.g., phenelzine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, moclobemide) or within 14 days of taking any such drug. Pts with uncontrolled hypertension, phaeochromocytoma, carcinoid, thyrotoxicosis, bipolar depression, schizoaffective disorder, acute confusional states.
Concom. use with: serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, serotonin 5-HT1 receptor agonists (triptans), direct. and indirect. acting sympathomimetic agents (incl. adrenergic bronchodilators, pseudoephedrine and phenylpropanolamine), vasopressive agents (e.g., epinephrine, norepinephrine), dopaminergic agents (e.g., dopamine, dobutamine), pethidine or buspirone.

SNRI. Milnacipran 25 mg, 50 mg.
CAPS 14, 28, 56 x 25 mg , 14, 28, 56 x 50 mg. Usual dose: 1 caps. of 50 mg in the morning and 1 caps. of 50 mg in the evening. For tmt. of depress. in adlts. above the age of 18 years.
C/I: •  hypersens. • associat. with irreversible MAO inhibit., B selective MAO inhibit., digitalis and 5HT1D agonists (sumatriptan, etc.)• lactation
• uncontr. hypertens., sev. or unstable coron. heart dis. as these underlying condit. may be comprom. by incr. in blood press. or heart rate. • In assoc. with epinephrine and norepinephrine by parent. route, clonidine and rel. compounds and A select. MAO inhib.
• Prostatic hypertr. and other genito-urinary disord.

Fluoroquinolone. Ofloxacin 3 mg/ml.
Ocular sol. 10 ml
 In adults, 1-2 drops in affected eye(s) every 2-4 hs. For first 2 d, then 4X dly. Not more than 10 d.
Ext. oc. infect. caused by oxoflacin sensit. org.
C/I:  Hypersens./ hypersens. to quinolones/Pregn., possible pregn., or breast-feeding women.

5-α Reductase Inhibitor. Finasteride 1 mg.
FC tab. 1 mg X 24
Tab 1/d. Efficacy to be assessed by phys. Grally., 3 or more  tmt. months needed before benefit can be observed. Cont. tmt. is recomm. to sustain benefit.
for men with male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) to incr. hair growth and prevent further hair loss.
C/I: hypersens./women, chld./ Not to be used in combin. with other med. containing finasteride, dutasteride.
