Antibiotics. Erythromycin 2%. SOLN (dab-on bottle): 25 ml. Adults and
children above 12 years of age: Apply
twice daily.
Acne vulgaris.
C/I: Known hypersens to erythromycin.
Retinoid. Adapalene 0.1% w/w. Cream: 30 g
To be applied on affected areas once/d before retiring and after washing and drying. Assess the patient’s improvement after 3 mo.
Acne vulgaris, where comedones, papules and postules predominate. Acne of the face, chest or back is appropriate for tmt. Limited up to six months in adolesc. over 12 years.
C/I:Hypersens./Pregn. or pregn. planning.
Retinoids. Adapalene 1 mg (0.1%), Benzoyl Peroxide 25 mg (2.5%). TOPICAL GEL: 30 g. For extern. use only. Thin layer of gel evenly over acne (pimples) affected areas should be appl. once dly., at bdtme. on a clean dry skin.
Eyes, lips, nostrils contact should be avoid. See lit.
Cutaneous tmt. of acne vulgaris when comedones, papules and pustules are present.
C/I: Hypersens.
Women who are preg. or suspect. to be preg.

Acne.
Antibiotics, Tretinoid. Erythromycin 4 g / 100 g, Tretinoin (See Vit. A) 0.025 g / 100 g. SOLN: 25 ml. Apply to affect area 1-2 x
dly.
All forms acne, non-inflamm. with
comedones, inflamm. with papules and
pustules, espec. in fat rich skin.
C/I: Hypersens., fam. history cutan.
epitheliom., acute ecz., rosacea, acute
inflamm. conds. espec. round mouth,
sunburn, concom, with other keratolyt.

Anti-Androgen. Cyproterone (acetate) 10 mg. TABS: 15 x 10 mg. Start on 1st day of
menstrual cycle. 1 tab. with 1 Diane 35
tab. dly. for 15 days. Cont. with Diane 35
tabs. for further 6 days, then tab. free
for 7 days.
Mod. severe signs of androgenization in
women.
