Dosage
Capsules:
Method of administration: It is recommended that the oral daily dose be administered in two divided doses (e.g. morning and evening). Capsules should be taken immediately following removal from the blister. Patients should be advised not to swallow the desiccant. The capsules should be swallowed with fluid (preferably water).
Capsules should generally be administered on an empty stomach or at least 1 hour before or 2 to 3 hours after a meal, to achieve maximal absorption.

Ampoules:
Method of administration: The concentrate should be used for intravenous infusion only after it is diluted with suitable carrier media.
The concentration of a solution for infusion should be within the range 0.004 – 0.100 mg/ml. The total volume of infusion during a 24-hour period should be in the range 20 – 500 ml. The diluted solution should not be given as a bolus.

Indications
Prophylaxis of transplant rejection in liver, kidney or heart allograft recipients. Treatment of allograft rejection resistant to treatment with other immunosuppressing medicinal products.
Contra-Indications
– Do not use this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
– Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients or to other medicines belonging to the macrolides group (e.g.,erythromycin, clarithromycin, josamycin).
– Do not use this medicine with cyclosporine.
