Diminish the toxicity and counteract the action of palliative treatment of the folic antagonists in cytotoxic therapy. As calcium folinate fluorouracil chemotherapy combination for cancer treatment.

Hypersensitivity to calcium folinate. Pernicious anemia or other anemia due to vitamin B₁₂ deficiency.
