Dosage
50 mg 1 hour befor sexual intercourse. May increase to 100 mg or decrease to 25 mg. Max: 100 mg/day.
Over 65 yrs: Initial: 25 mg.
Indications
Erectile dysfunction.
Contra-Indications
Known hypersensitivity, co-administration organic nitrates, organic nitrites, nitric oxide donors.
Special Precautions
There is a degree of cardiac risk associated with sexual activity. Therefore physicians may wish to examine the cardiovascular status of their patients prior to initiating any treatment for erectile dysfunction. The treatment of erectile dysfunction should be used with caution in patients with anatomical deformation of the penis or in patients who have conditions which may predispose them to priapism, should not be used in men for whom sexual activity is inadvisable. The safety and efficacy of combinations of Tarim with other treatments for erectile dysfunction have not been studied. There is no safety information on the administration to patients with bleeding disorders or active peptic ulceration, retinitis pigmentosa.

Side Effects
Side effects were generally transient and mild to moderate in nature. Body as a whole: Asthenia, pain, abdomina pain, back pain, infection, flu syndrome. Cardiovascular: Headache, flushing, palpitation, vasodiltation. Digestive: Dyspepsia, diarrhea, nausea. Nervous: Dizziness, hypertonia, insomnia. Respiratory: Nasal congestion, pharyngitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, respiratory tract infection, respiratory disorder. Skin and appendages: Rash. Special Senses: Abnormal vision (mild and transient). Predominantly colour tinge to vision, but also increased perception of light or blurred vision, conjunctivitis. Urogenital: Urinary tract infection, prostatic disorder.
