One caplet or in severe cases two caplets a day.
Indications
Prophylaxis of angina pectoris.
Contra-Indications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
If organic nitrates are used in early infarction, hemodynamic monitoring and frequent clinical assessment should be conducted. Pregnancy and lactation. Nitrate therapy may aggravate the angina caused by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, prudent to withdraw the drug gradually, not to misinterpret freedom from anginal attack as a signal to drop all restrictions.
Side Effects
Cutaneous vasodilation, flushing, headache, dizziness, palpitations, vertigo and weakness, paradoxical bradycardia and increased angina pectoris, rash and/or exfoliative dermatitis, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, pallor, perspiration and collapse.
Drug interactions
Phosphodiesterase inhibitors.
