    Dosage

    Adults:
    Heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
    * Gullet damaged, Esomeprazole 40 mg tablet once a day for 4 weeks, and after the gullet healed, Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet once a day.
    * Gullet has not been damaged, Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet each day
    Helicobacter pylori infection
    Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet twice a day for one week.
    Stomach ulcers caused by NSAIDs
    Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet once a day for 4 to 8 weeks.
    Prevent stomach ulcers as a result from NSAIDs
    Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet once a day.
    Prolonged treatment after prevention of rebleeding of ulcers with an intravenous Esomeprazole preparation
    Esomeprazole 40 mg tablet once a day for 4 weeks.
    Adolescents aged 12 and above:
    Heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
    * Gullet slightly damaged, the recommended dosage is one Esomeprazole 40 mg tablet once a day for 4 weeks.
    * Gullet has healed is one Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet once a day.
    * Gullet has not been damaged, Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet each day
    Ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection
    Esomeprazole 20 mg tablet twice a day for one week.

    Indications

    Adults:
    * Heartburn, with or without inflammation of the gullet, caused by reflux of acid from the stomach.
    * Ulcers in the upper part of the gut or stomach caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria.
    * Gastric ulcer caused by use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
    (NSAIDs), which are also used to treat arthritis (rheumatism).
    * Prevention of formation of gastric ulcers, due to use of Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
    * Prolonged treatment with Esomeprazole tablets to prevent recurrent bleeding of a gastric or duodenal ulcer, after primary intravenous esomeprazole treatment.
    Adolescents:
    * Heartburn, with or without inflammation of the gullet, caused by reflux of acid from the stomach.
    * Ulcers in the upper part of the gut or stomach caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria.


    Contra-Indications

    * Sensitivity to any of its ingredients
    * Sensitive to another preparation of the proton pump inhibitors group (e.g., pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, omeprazole).
    * Use with medical product contains nelfinavir (to treat HIV infection).
