C/I: Hypersens. to Metformin, Renal
impairm., Acute/ chron. metab. acidosis,
incl. diabetic ketoacid., Hist. of a serious
hypersens. react. to this product or
Saxagliptin, such as anaphylaxis,
angioedema, or exfoliative skin
conditions.

DPP-4 Inhibitor. Saxagliptin (as HCl) 2.5, 5 mg.
TABS: 30. With/out meal. Monother./
add-on comb. ther: 5 mg 1 x dly with
metformin, a thiazolidimedione or
sulfonylurea. Initial comb. ther: 5 mg
saxagliptin + metformin 500 mg 1 x
dly. See lit. Ren. impair: No dose
adjust., but not recommend. Mildmod.
hepat. impair: No dose adjust.
Severe hepat. impair: Not
recommend. Elderly (>65 yrs): No
