Dosage
Adults and adolescents over 15 years old: For treatment of asthma and/or seasonal allergic rhinitis, take two 5 mg chewable tablets once per day.
Children 6-14 years old, for treatment of asthma or seasonal allergic rhinitis: One 5 mg chewable tablet once per day.
Children 2-5 years old for treatment of asthma or seasonal allergic rhinitis:
One 4 mg chewable tablet once per day.
For treatment of asthma, the drug should be taken once per day, in the evening.
For treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis , the drug should be taken once per day.
The tablet should be chewed before swallowing, regardless of meals.

Indications
Montelukast 4 mg is indicated in adult and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older.
Montelukast 5 mg is indicated in adult and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.
Indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma, including prevention of daytime and nighttime symptoms, the treatment of aspirin-sensitive asthmatic patients, and the prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
The drug is effective alone or in combination with other agents used in the maintenance treatment of chronic asthma.
This drug and inhaled corticosteroids may be used concomitantly with additive effects to control asthma or to reduce the inhaled corticosteroid dose while maintaining clinical stability.
Indicated for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis.
Contra-Indications
Hypersensitivity to an active substance or any of its excipients.
Special Precautions
Severe mental health problems have been reported in people taking Montair or even after stopping the treatment. This can happen in people with or without a history of mental health problems.

Drug interactions
Aspirin may worsens asthma symptoms. If asthma symptoms are worsened, avoid taking aspirin or NSAIDs while taking this medicinal product.
