Dosage
One tablet once a month, the drug should be administrated with full glass of tap water, first thing upon rising in the morning, and at least 30 minutes before breakfast, before drinking anything (except for tap water) or before taking any medication. The patient shouldn’t lie down for 30 minutes after taking the medicine.
Indications
Prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
Contra-Indications
Hypersensitivity to active substance or to any of its excipients.
pregnancy and lactation.
Patients with dysphagia.
Patients who are unable to remain in an upright position (sitting or standing) for 30 min. after administration of the drug.
Patients with hypocalcemia that has not yet been stabilized.
Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance values below 30 ml/minute).
Patients with galactosemia, glucose and galactose absorption problems or lactase deficiency.
