Indications
Infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Contra-Indications
Known hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Bone marrow hypoplasia including aplastic anemia and even death have been reported following the local application of chloramphenicol.
Side Effects
Blood dyscrasias, allergic sensitivity.
Drug interactions
Coumarin anticoagulants, phenytoin, paracetamol, barbiturates, rifampicin, sulphonylureas, methotrexate.
