Fibrate. Bezafibrate 400 mg. SR Tab. 30 X 400 mg
One tablet, to be swallowed whole with suffic. fluid after a meal either in the
morning or at night.
Adjunct to diet and other non- pharmacological
tmt. (e.g. exercise, weight reduct.) for
the tmt. of sev. hypertriglyceridaemia
C/I: Hypersens. – Signif. hepatic dis. (other than fatty infiltr. of the liver assoc. with raised triglyceride values).
- Gall-bladder dis. with or without cholelithiasis.
- Pts. with nephrotic syndr. and sev. renal fail. (serum creatinine > 135μmol/l; creatinine clear.<60ml/min) and pts. undergoing dialysis.
- Combin. ther. (concom. use) of bezafibrate with HMG CoA reductase inhibit. (statins) in pts. with predisposing factors for myopathy.
- Known photoallergic or phototoxic reactions to fibrates.
Fibrate. Ciprofibrate 100 mg. CAPS: 30 x 100 mg. Adults and elderly:
100 mg/day. Mod. renal impair: 100
mg every other day. Pts. to be carefully
monitored.
Prim. hyperlipidem. resist. to appropriate
dietary management, incl.
hypercholesterolem., hypertryglyceridem.,
combined hyperlipidem.(types
11a, 11b, III, IV).
C/I: Severe hepat. impair., severe renal
impair., pregn., lact.
Fibrate. Bezafibrate 200 mg. F.C. TABS: 60. 1 tab. 3 x dly. aft. meals.
Reduct. high blood level of cholesterol,
triglycerides where diet regimen insuffic.
C/I: Liver dysfunct., biliary cirrh., severe
renal disord., pregn. lact.
