Anticholinergic. Trihexyphenidyl HCl 5 mg. TABS: 50 x 5 mg. 1 mg first day
incr. by 1 mg dly. until total of 6-10 mg
dly. in 3-4 div. doses. See lit.
Parkinson’s syndr., extrapyramidal
disords. due to CNS drugs such as
reserpine, phenothiazine.
Domapine Agonist. Trihexyphenidyl (as HCl) 2 mg, 5 mg. TABS: 30 x 2 mg, 5 mg. Parkinsonism:
usual dosage 6-10 mg/d, init. dose
should be 1 mg the 1st day, 2 mg the
2nd day, may be incr. by 2 mg/d at 3-5
day interv.; may be incr. to aver. total
dose of 12-15 mg dly. See lit.
Extrapyram. dis.: 1 mg/d incr. to total
dose of 5-15 mg dly. See lit.
An adj. in the ther. of all forms of
Parkinsonism. For control
extrapyramidal dis. due to CNS drugs
such as phenothiazines.
