Opioid. Tramadol HCl 100 mg / 2 ml. AMPS: 5. I.M./I.V. over 2-3 mins. or
dilute infus. Adults/child over 14 yrs:
50-100 mg 4-6 hrly. Not to exceed 400
mg dly. Child 1-14 yrs: 1-2 mg/kg bdy
wt as single dose diluted in water for
inject. See lit.
Mod-sev. pain.
C/I: Hypersens., intox. with hypnots.,
central act. analgesics, opioids,
psychotropic drugs/alcohol, within 14
days of taking MAOI, inad. control
epilepsy.
Opioid. Tramadol HCl 100 mg, 50 mg. TABS: 10, 30 x 100 mg.
ORAL DROPS: 10 ml x 100 mg/ml.
Adults and adolescents. over 14 yrs:
Tabs. are to be taken whole, not div./
chewed, with sufficient liq.,
independent of meals. Initial: 50-100
mg Tramadol HCl x 2 dly, morning and
evening. Can incr. up to 150 mg – 200
mg Tramadol HCl x 2 dly if reqd.
Drops: are to be taken with a little liq.
or dripped on some sugar,
independent of meals. 50-100 mg
Tramadol HCl every 4-6 hrs.
Tabs. and Drops: Select lowest effect.

Mod. to severe pain (short to med. Term

C/I: Hypersens. to tramadol, any of the
excipients or opioids; Acute intoxic. with
alcohol, hypnotics, analgesics, narcotics,
centrally acting analgesics, opioids or
other psychotropic medicinal products;
concurrent. with MAO-I or within 14
days of taking; pts. with epilepsy not
adeq. control. by tmt.; for use in narcotic
withdrawal tmt. and see lit.
Tablets Soluble in Mouth: 10, 30 x 50
mg.
Adults and adolescents 14 yrs and
older: Initial: 50-100 mg. Not to exceed
400 mg dly. At least 6 hrs. interval
between doses. Tabs should be
sucked. See lit.
Tmt. Mod. to severe pain.
C/I: Hypersens. to tramadol, any of the
excipients or opioids; pregn..; lact.;
concurrent with MAO-I or within 14
days of taking; narcotic withdr. tmt or as
a subst. in drug withdr.; pts. with
epilepsy not adeq. control. by tmt.;
upon consuming a quantity of alcohol
that made the pt. feel even slightly
drunk; after taking medicines that slow
down the rate of thinking or breathing
(e.g. sleeping pills and analgesics);
under effect of alcohol, tranquilizers,
sleeping pills, pain relievers or other
psychotropic medicines; child. under 14
yrs; concurrent with nalbuphine, pentazocine or buprenorphine; sev.
hep./renal fail. (CLcr < 10ml/min); pts.
who are suicidal or prone to drug/
alcohol addict./depend. See lit.
Opioid. Tramadol HCl 100, 200, 300 mg. P.R. TABS: 30 x 100 mg, 10 x 200 mg, 300
mg. Dosage should be adjusted according
to severity of pain and the response of
the individual patient. Should be taken
once every 24 hours. swallowed whole
with sufficient quantity of liq. (not to
be div./chewed), with or w/o food.
Adults and adolescents (14 yrs and
over): Initial: 100 mg tablet dly Usual
dose 200 mg tablet dly, to be taken
preferably in the evening. Can incr. by
100 mg increments to 300 or 400 mg
max. dly if reqd. Select lowest effect.
Dose and see lit. Child (under 14): not
recommend. Eldery, renal and/or
hepatic impair.: see lit.
Tmt. mod. to severe pain.
C/I: Hypersens. to tramadol, any of the
excipients or opioids; Acute intoxic./
overdose with CNS depressants (alcohol,
hypnotics, other opioid analgesics, etc.);
Concom. Tmt. with MAO-I or pts. who
have been treated with MAO-I during
the past 2 weeks; Concom. Tmt. with
linezolid; Severe hep. or severe ren.
impair. (CLcr < 10ml/min); Epilepsy not
adequate. controll. by tmt.; During
lactat. if long-term tmt., i.e. more than 2
to 3 days, is necessary; Sig. respiratory.
depress. in unmonit. settings or the
absence of resuscitative equipment;
Acute or sev. bronchial asthma or
hypercapnia in unmonit. settings or the
absence of resuscitative equipment;
Suicidal or addiction-prone pts. and see
lit.
Opioid Analgesic. Tramadol HCl 100 mg. AMPOUL.:1.
Adult.: A single d. of 50 mg/100 mg 4-6 hourl. IV must be given slowly over 2-3 min. For sev. (postoperat.) pain, admin. an init. bolus of 100 mg during the 60 min. follow. the init. bolus, further doses of 50 mg may be given every 10- 20 min., up to a total dose of 250 mg includ. the initial bolus. Subseq. doses should be 50/ 100 mg admin. every 4-6 hrs. A total daily dose of 400 mg should not be exceed. Except in special clinic. circumstances. Child. aged 1- 14 yrs. receive 1-2 mg /kg bdy. wt. as a single dose. For dosage for other populat. see lit.
Moderate severe to severe pain.
C/I: Hypersens. Acute intox. with hypnot. Central. Act. analgesics, opioids, psychotropic drugs or alcohol. Pts. who are receiving MAO inhib. or within 2 wks. of their withdrawal, with other opioids analges.. Epilepsy, not adequat. control. by tmt.

S.R. TABS: 10, 30 x 50 mg, 10, 30, 50, 150
x 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg. Adults and
child. over 14 yrs: 1 tab. 2 x dly. Dly
dose of 400 mg should not be
exceeded.
