Acute pain condit.: Etoricoxib should be used only for the acute painful period.
Postoperat. dental surg. pain: 90 mg ×1/d, limited to a max. of 3 tmt. d.

Pts. with peptic ulcer, bleed. or intest. bleed.
Pts. with severe hep. dis. Pts. with a severe renal dis. Preg. Lact. Pts. under 16 yrs. of age. Pts. with IBD, Crohn’s dis., ulcerat. colitis. Pts. with uncontrolled hypertension. Pts. with HF (moder./severe). Pts. with ischem. heart dis./peripher. vasc. dis. (e.g. DVT). Pts. with any kind of stroke, (TIA). Pts. with history of MI.

COX2 Selective, NSAID. Etoricoxib 30, 60, 90, 120 mg. TABS: 28x30mg; 14x60mg; 14x90mg;
7x120mg. The shortest durat. as possib. and the lowest effect. dly. dose should be used. The pt's. need for symptom. relief and response to therapy should be re-evaluated periodic., especially in pts. with osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis: 30-60 mg 1 x dly. In the absence of an incr. in therap. benefit, other therap. options should be consid. RA, Ankylos. spondyl.: 60-90 mg× 1/d. Once the pt. is clinic. stabilized, down-titrat. to a 60 mg ×1/d, daily dose may be appropriate. In the absence of an incr. in therap. benefit, other therap. options should be considered. Acute pain cond.: use only for the acute sympt. period. Acute gouty arthritis: 120 mg daily, limited to a max. of 8 d. Postoperat. dent. surg. pain: 90 mg dly., limited to a max. of 3 d. Elder. pts.-No dosage adjust. is necessary. Pts. with hep. impair. - in pts. with mild hep. dysfunc. (Child-Pugh score 5-6) a dose of 60 mg once dly. should not be exceeded. In pts. with moder. hep. dysfunct. (Child-Pugh score 7-9), the dose of 30 mg ×1/d should not be exceed. Pts. with ren. impair.- No dosage adjust. is necessary for pts. with CrCl ≥30 ml/min. See Lit.

COX-2 inhib., experience bronchospasm, acute rhinitis, nasal polyps, angioneurotic oedema, urticaria, or allerg.-type react. Preg. & lact.; Sev. hep. dysfunc. (serum album. <25 g/l or Child-Pugh score ≥10); Estim. renal CrCL <30 ml/min; Child. & adolesc. under 16 yrs. of age. IBD; CHF (NYHA II-IV); Pts. with hypertens. whose blood pres. is persist. elev. > 140/90 mmHg and has not been adeq. control.; Establish. ischaem. card. dis., periph. arteR. dis., and/or cerebrovasc. dis.
