Dosage
Initial: 200 mg followed by 100 mg every 12 hours.
Children over 8 years of age: Initial: 4 mg/kg body weight followed by 2 mg/kg body weight every 12 hours.
Acne: 50 mg 1-3 times daily.
Indications
Infections caused by susceptible pathogens.
Contra-Indications
Pregnancy, lactation.

Drug interactions
Milk (except with doxycycline and minocylcine), antacids, sucralfate, mineral supplements. Combined oral contraceptives, coumarin anticoagulants, cholestyramine, colestipol, methotrexate, acitretin.
