Dosage

Hypersensitivity to components, external auditory meatus if perforated eardrum present.

Special Precautions
Should not be used over wide areas or for extended periods of time. Pregnancy and lactation. Caution in patients sensitive to neomycin, in patients with renal, hepatic or hearing impairment.

Side Effects
Redness, irritation, local inflammation, local burning sensation, erythema, edema, local pain and contact dermatitis. These reactions usually subside after 2-3 days.

Drug interactions
Other aminoglycosides, vancomycin, some cephalosporins. Loop diuretics, anticholinesterases, lactitol. Muscle relaxants, β-lactam antibiotics.
