Dosage
The usual dose is 10 ml twice daily rinse for 1 minute.
Gingivitis: recommended for use for one month.
Ulcerations and candida infections: use an additional two days after the area is healed.
Mouth inflammations cause by dentures: clean and soak the dentures in mouthwash for 15 minutes twice daily.
Indications
Antibacterial solution for the disinfection of the mouth:
As an aid to maintaining oral hygiene.
As an aid in the treatment and prevention of gingivitis.
Inhibition of formation of dental plaque.
For use in aphtous ulceration and oral candidal infections (e.g., denture stomatitis and thrush).
For use in a post- periodontal surgery or treatment regimen to promote gingival healing.
Contra-Indications
Patients with known hypersensitivity to Chlorhexidine or to any of the excipients.
