    Dosage

    With clean hands, massage a small amount of the preparation onto the affected area 3-4 times a day.

    Indications

    Topical treatment of primary and secondary topical infections of the skin (impetigo, contagiosa, superficial folliculitis, varicose ulcer, infectious eczema, dermatitis, pustular psoriasis, other bacterial superinfections).


    Contra-Indications

    Known hypersensitivity.


    Special Precautions

    Pregnancy and lactation. Patients suffering from kidney or urinary system dysfunction should be monitored. When treating severe or refractory skin lesions, the administration of a systemic antibacterial should be supplemented. Overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, including fungi, may occasionally occur. In such cases, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.


    Side Effects

    Patients with dermatoses treated with gentamicin have occasionally reported irritation. Photosensitization.


    Drug interactions

    Other aminoglycosides, vancomycin, some cephalosporins. Loop diuretics, anticholinesterases, lactitol. Muscle relaxants, β-lactam antibiotics.
