    Dosage

    As a antacid: 1-2 tablets as needed.
    As a calcium supplement: 2 tablets 1-3 times a day, 1-1½ hours after meals. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. This medicine is not usually intended for administration to children under 6 years of age, unless recommended by a doctor. For increased stomach acidity: If there is no improvement in your condition within 14 days, refer to your doctor. If you forget to take this medicine at the specified time, take the dose as soon as you remember, but never take two doses together!


    Indications

    Hyperacidity, heartburn, gastritis, peptic ulcer, calcium supplement.


    Contra-Indications

    Adverse reactions and drug interactions in children, Parents must inform the attending doctor about any side effects as well as any additional medicine being taken by the child. See above for details of special side effects and drug interactions.


    Special Precautions

    Do not use this medicine frequently, or for more than two weeks without consulting a doctor. During prolonged treatment with this medicine, a serum calcium concentration test should be performed. If you are sensitive to any type of food or medicine, especially calcium containing medicines, inform your doctor before taking this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you have any signs of appendicitis (such as: stomach pain, nausea and vomiting). Do not take this medicine in the morning before a gastric acid secretion test.


    Side Effects

    In addition to the desired effect of the medicine, adverse reactions may occur during the course of taking this medicine, for example: chalky taste in the mouth.
    Side effects that require special attention: Constipation, dryness of the mouth, thirst, lack of appetite, difficulty passing urine, headache, nausea or vomiting, mood changes, nervousness and weakness, muscle pain, slow breathing and unpleasant taste (rare): stop treatment and consult the doctor. In the event that you experience side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, or if there is a change in your general health, consult your doctor immediately.


    Drug interactions

    Tetracyclines, thiazide diuretics, vitamin D, fluoride supplements.
