Dosage
This medicine is not usually intended for administration to children under 12 years of age.
Directions for use: Do not chew! Swallow the medicine with a small amount
of water. Take the medicine with a meal. When necessary, the tablet can be crushed immediately before use. Do not halve the tablet.
Indications
Spasticity caused by spinal cord disease, especially multiple sclerosis.
Contra-Indications
Known hypersensitivity to baclofen or to any of the excipients.
Presence or history of gastric ulcer.
Special Precautions
Driving and operating dangerous machinery. If drug is to be discontinued, reduce dose gradually.
Side Effects
Transient drowsiness, confusion, headache, insomnia, and in rare cases, euphoria, excitement, depression, hallucinations, paresthesia, muscle pain, tinnitus, slurred speech, coordination disorders, tremor, rigidity, dystonia, ataxia, blurred vision, nystagmus, strabismus, miosis, mydriasis, diplopia, dysarthria, epileptic seizure, hypotension, nausea, constipation, dry mouth, anorexia, taste disturbance, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea and positive test for occult blood in stool, urinary frequency, enuresis, urinary retention, dysuria, impotence, inability to ejaculate, nocturia, hematuria, instances of rash, pruritus, ankle edema, excessive perspiration, weight gain, nasal congestion.

Drug interactions
Antihypertensives, alcohol, CNS depressants, lithium, fentanyl, tricyclic antidepressants, drugs that cause renal insufficiency (e.g. ibuprofen), levodopa plus cardidopa.
