    25-75 mg dly. in 1 dose (usually at night) or 3 div. doses. Adjust aft. 1-2
    wks. as necess. Max dose: 150 mg dly.
    Child: Not recommend.
    Depression, anx. (assoc. with depression).

    TeCA. Mirtazapine 30 mg.
    TABS: 30 x 30 mg. May be taken
    with fluid and swallowed without
    chewing; prefer. as a single night-time
    dose at bedt. (Can also be given in subdoses equally div. Initial: 1 x morn. and 1 x at bedt.). Adults: Initial: 15 mg dly. Incr. to optimal clin. response. Effect.
    dly dose is 15-45 mg. Elderly: As for
    adults. Incr. in dosing under close
    vision. Pediatrics: Not recommend. in
    child. Renal or hepat. insuffic: Take into
    account that clearance may be decr.
    Cont. tmt. until pt is symp.-free for 4-6
    mths. Then gradual. discont. Tmt with
    adeq. dose should result in a positive
    response in 2-4 wks. With an insuffic.
    response, incr. up to max. dose. If no
    response within a further 2-4 wks, tmt
    should be stopped.
    Episodes of major depression.
