Analgesic/Antipyretic., Anilides, other. Paracetamol 10 mg/ml, Ibuprofen (as sodium dihydrate) 3 mg/ml. Vials: 10 X100ml.
One vial (100 mL) as a 15-minute infus. every 6 hours, as necessary. Do not exceed a total daily dose of 4000 mg (4 g) paracetamol. For ped., elderly, pts. with renal/hepatic impair., see lit.
In adlts. for the relief of mild to moder. pain and reduct. of fever, where an IV route of admin. is considered clin. necessary.
C/I:
Known hypersens. to paracetamol, ibuprofen, other NSAIDs or to any of the excip.
Severe heart fail. (NYHA Class IV);
Act. alcoholism, as chron. excessive alcohol ingest. may predispose pts. to hepatotox. (due to the paracetamol component);
Pts. who have exper. asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type react. after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs;
Hist. of GI. bleeding or perforat. related to previous NSAID ther.;
Act., or hist. of, recurrent peptic ulcerat./haemorrhage (two or more distinct episodes of proven ulcerat. or bleed.);
Severe hepatic fail. or severe renal fail.;
Cerebrovasc. or other act. bleeding;
Blood clotting disord. and condit. involving incr. tendency to bleed;
Sev. dehydr. (caused by vomiting, diarrhoea or insuff. fluid intake);
During third trimester of pregn;
