Schizophrenia: start. dose 1.5 mg once /d. Dose can be incr. slowly in 1.5 mg increm. to a max. dose of 6 mg/d, if needed.
Manic or Mixed Episodes Assoc. with Bipolar I Disord.: dosage is 3 mg - 6 mg once/d. Start. dose is 1.5 mg and should be incr. to 3 mg on Day 2. Depend. upon clinical resp. and tolerab., dose adjust. can be made in 1.5 mg or 3 mg increm. Max recomm. dosage is 6 mg/d .
Depressive Episodes Assoc. with Bipolar I Disorder (Bipolar Depress.): start. dose 1.5 mg once daily. Depend. upon clinical resp. and tolerab., dosage can be incr. to 3 mg/d on Day 15. Max. recomm. dosage is 3 mg/d. The option of tmt. with max. daily dose of 3 mg should be reserved for patients resistant to the low dose of 1.5 mg /d.
Adjunct. Ther. to Antidepress. in Major Depress. Disord. (MDD):
start. dose is 1.5 mg once/d. Depend. upon clinical resp. and tolerab.,can be incr. to 3 mg once/d on Day 15. Max recomm. dosage is 3 mg once/d.
