C/I: Hypersens. Evidence of activity of a tumour, based on experience with daily growth hormone med. products. Intracranial tumours must be inactive and antitumour ther. must be completed prior to starting growth hormone (GH) ther. Tmt. should be discontinued if there is evidence of tumour growth. Growth promotion in children with closed epiphyses. Pts. with acute critical illness suffering complications following open heart surgery, abdominal surgery, multiple accidental trauma, acute respir. fail. or similar conditions.
