Antiseptic. Povidone Iodine 2.5%. SPRAY: 30 g, 80 g. The dose is proportion. to the size of the area to be treated.
Applied once/multiple times dly. on the area to be treated until this is visibly covered with the golden-brown colour. povidone-iodine pwdr.
New-borns/infan. under 6 mnths.: may only be used in new-borns & infants up to the age of 6 mnths. See lit.
As antiseptic for prevent. & tmt. of infec. assoc, with burns, cuts and scrapes, and for prevent. tmt. of wounds at risk of infec., e.g. after placement of a suture for wound tmt. or after surg.
C/I: Hypersens. Hyperthyroidism/other manifesting thyroid dis. Dermatit. herpetiformis (Duhring’s dis.). Use in conjunct. with products contain. mercury.
Use in conjunct. with octenidine-based antiseptics. Before and after radioact. iodine therap. (until the tmt. is concluded). Before radioact. iodine scintigraphy for thyroid testing. Before radioact. iodine tmt. for thyroid canc.
Antiseptic. Povidone Iodine 10%. OINT: 15 g. Apply to affect. area 2-4 x
dly.
Disinfect. wounds, scratches, minor burns,
skin infects.
