Pneumococcal Vaccines. Polysaccharides serotype 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19F, 23F, CRM carrier protein.. PRE-FILL. SYRINGE (susp. for inj.): 1, 5, 10, 50×0.5 ml. I.M. inject. only. 3 dose series: 1st dose (0.5 ml) at 6 wks-2 mths old, foll. by 2nd and 3rd doses at approx. every 4-8 wks. 4th dose (0.5 ml): at 12-15 mths old; at least 2 mths aft. 3rd dose.
Prev. unvacc. child (beyond routine age schedule): 1st dose: 7-11 mths.: 3 x 0.5 ml (1st and 2nd dose at least 4 wks apart). 3rd dose: After 1st birthday (at least 2 mths aft. 2nd dose).
12-23 mths: 2 x 0.5 ml at least 2 mths apart; 24 mths-9 yrs: 1 x 0.5 ml. See lit. Active immunisat. for the prevent. of invas. dis., pneumon. and acute otit. med. caused by Streptococcus pneumon. infants, child. & adolesc. from 6 wks.-17 yrs. of age.
Active immunisat. for the prevent. of invas. dis. and pneumon. caused by Streptococcus pneumon. in adult. ≥18 yrs. of age and the elderly.
The use of this vaccine should be determ. on the basis of official recommendat. taking into considerat. the risk of invas. dis. and pneumon. in different age groups, underlying comorbidit. as well as the variabil. of serotype epidemiology in different geographical areas.
C/I: Hypersens. to the active subst., or to diphtheria toxoid. As with other vaccines, the admin. of Prevenar 13 should be postponed in subjects suffer. from acute, severe febrile illness. However, the presence of a minor infec., such as a cold, should not result in the deferral of vaccination.
Polysaccharides , Sodium Chloride , Water . NASAL SPRAY: 100 metered doses x 0.1 ml/
dose. 1 spray into ea. nostril at bedt.
Nasal/ oral dryness: Apply 3-6 x dly as
reqd.
