All the Active Ingredient Drugs
Immunomodulator. Lenalidomide 5, 10, 15, 25 mg. CAPS.:7, 21. Dosage must be ajust. individ.
Previous. untreated multip. myelom. (MM) in adult pts. who are not eligible for transplant.
In comb. with dexamethasone tmt. of multip. myeloma pt. who have received at least one prior ther.
Pts. with transfuse. -dependent anemia due to low- or intermediate-1-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) assoc. with a deletion 5q abnormal. with /without additional cytogen. abnormalit.
The tmt. of adults pts. with relaps. and/or refract. mantle cell lymphom. (MCL).
C/I: Hypersens. Blood donation during the therapy and for 4 wks. after discont. of the ther.
Women of child bear. potent. (WOCBP): two reliable forms of contracep. are necessary during the tmt. of this drug. WOCBP should postpone the plan. of the preg. by 4 wks. after discont. of the ther.
Breastfeed. should be discont. for 4 wks. after discont. of the ther.
Males: Donation of the semen, during ther. and short discont. The donation is allowed 4 wks. after discont. of the ther. Male pts. should use a reliable contracep. during the ther. in every sexual intercourse.
Immunomodulator. Lenalidomide 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25 mg. CAPS: 21 x 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 25
mg. Initial: 25 mg dly with water as
single cap on days 1-21 of repeated 28
day cycles. Not to be broken, chewed/
opened. In comb. with
dexamethasone: 40 mg dly on days
1-4, 9-12 and 17-20 of ea. 28 day cycle
for first 4 cycles of ther., foll. by 40 mg
dly on days 1-4 every 28 days.
Lenalidomide in comb. with
dexamethasone, is an option for tmt. of
multiple myeloma in pts. who have
received at least one prior therapy.
C/I: Pregn. category X: Lenalidomide is
an analog of thalidomide, a known
human theratogen that causes severe,
life-threaten. human birth defects.
