Use in child.: 500 mcg is not recomm. for use in child.
Child. below 15 kg bdy. wt.: A dosage below 150 mcg cannot be admin. with suffic. accuracy in child. wt˂15 kg and use is therefore not recomm. unless under med. advice.
Children between 15 kg and 30 kg bdy. wt.: The usual dose is 150 mcg.
Child. over 30 kg bdy. wt.: The usual dose is 300 mcg.
Adolescent pts. over 30 kg bdy. wt.: The dosage recommend. for adult pts. should be follow.
Use in adult.: The recomm. dose is 300 mcg for individ. under 60 kg bdy. wt. The recomm. dose is 300-500 mcg for individ. over 60 kg bdy. wt., depend. on clinical judgement.
Indicated in the emergency tmt. of severe allerg. react. (Type I) includ. anaphylaxis to sting. insects (e.g., order Hymenoptera, which include bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets and fire ants) and biting insects (e.g., triatoma, mosquitoes), allergen immunother., foods, drugs, diagnost. testing substances (e.g., radiocontrast media) and other allergens, as well as idiopathic anaphylaxis or exercise-induced anaphylaxis.
Intended for immediate admin. in pts. who are determin. be at incr. risk for anaphylaxis, including individ. with a history of anaphylact. react.
