Depending on nature, concentration and volume of the preparation produced.
For dissolution or dilution of drugs for injection.
Method of administration: As applicable for the preparation produced.
Parenteral solutions must be prepared under standard hygiene conditions to maintain sterility.

For the preparation of parenterals, vehicle solution for supplementary medication, as a diluent or as water for injection.

None known if used according to directions.

Water for injection must not be injected as such.

None known to occur if the product is used properly.

Attention must be paid to incompatibilities when several drugs are to be dissolved or diluted in the same solution.

If water for injection has accidentally been administered intravenously, disorders of the water and electrolyte balance must be corrected according to the values of the serum electrolyte concentrations.
If massive haemolyis occurs, appropriate intensive treatment must be instituted
immediately.
