    Dosage

    Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 and above: 
    For immediate relief: one to two inhalations.
    For prevention of bronchospasm induced by exertion or exposure to an allergen: two inhalations 10-15 minutes before the exertion or the exposure.
    For chronic treatment: 1-2 inhalations, up to 4 times a day.
    Children under 12 years of age: 
    For immediate relief:
    one inhalation. The dosage may be increased up to two inhalations, when necessary.
    For prevention of bronchospasm induced by exertion or exposure to an allergen: one inhalation 10-15 minutes before the exertion or the exposure. The dosage may be increased up to two inhalations, when necessary.
    For chronic treatment: 1-2 inhalations, up to 4 times a day.
    The maximal dose (in adults and children) is 8 inhalations per day.

    Indications

    Relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma of all types, chronic bronchitis and emphysema.


    Contra-Indications

    Hypersensitivityto the active ingredient or to any of the other excipient of the drug ingredients.

    Special Precautions

    Salbutrim does not serve as a substitute for oral or inhaled steroids, but constitutes as a complementary treatment. If you use an ipratropium or adrenocorticosteroid inhaler, first inhale the Salbutrim and only after 5 minutes, inhale the others.

    Side Effects

    Irritation in the mouth or throat; it is recommended to rinse the mouth with water after using the medicine, headache, muscle cramps.

    Drug interactions

    Antidepressants (e.g., tricyclic, tetracyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors and others). Antihypertensives, especially from the beta-blockers group (such as propranolol). Medicines for irregular or fast heart rate regulation. Medicines that lower the concentration of potassium in the blood (e.g.: xanthines), diuretics and steroids – may cause hypokalaemia. Other medicines for the treatment of asthma.
