Dosage
Recommended dosages (mg/kg):
Single dose in Adults (18 – 64 years), the elderly (65 years or more), adolescents and children (11 – 18 years):
– For investigating blood flow through the heart, brain, general blood circulation and micro-circulation, (for example, blood flows through parts of the eye, the choroids), the recommended dose is 0.1 – 0.3 mg/kg body weight.
– For assessing liver function, the recommended dose is 0.25 – 0.5 mg/kg body weight.
Maximum daily dose: Adults and the elderly: The total daily dose should be kept below 5 mg/kg body weight.
Adolescents and children:
– (11 – 18 years): the total daily dose should be kept below 5 mg/kg body weight.
– (2 – 11 years): the total daily dose should be kept below 2.5 mg/kg body weight.
– (0 month – 2 years): the total daily dose should be kept below 1.25 mg/kg body weight.

Indications
This medicinal product is for diagnostic use only.
In cardiac, ciculatory and micro-circulatory diagnostics: measurement of circulation times, measurement of cardiac output and stroke volume, measurement of end-systolic ventricular volume, measurement of intrathoracic blood volume, measurement of circulationg blood volume,measurement of partial volumes, measurement of organ perfusion-measurement of intra-and extracardiac shunts, measurement of intracardiac valvular insufficiency, measurement of peripheral perfusion (e.g. perfusion of extremities, eyes).
In liver function diagnostics: measurement of excretory function of the liver, determination of partial functions of the liver.
Contra-Indications
– Allergy to indocyanine green, sodium iodide or iodine.
– Over-active thyroid or benign tumours of the thyroid.
– Premature babies and new-born infants.
