Dosage
The contents of one sachet dissolved in a glass of water should be taken immediately after preparation once daily, preferably with food.
Indications
Relief of symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee.
Contra-Indications
Hypersensitivity. Not for use in pregnant or breast-feeding women. In presence of phenylketonuria (contains aspartame). In presence of allergy to shellfish from which the product is derived.
Inherited fructose intolerance (contains sorbitol).
Special Precautions
Not for use in children under 18 y. Care should be taken with patients on a controlled sodium diet since each sachet contains 151 mg sodium. Patients with asthma should be aware of any potential worsening of symptoms. Caution is advised in those with impaired glucose intolerance as closer blood glucose monitoring may be required. Use in the presence of severe hepatic or renal insufficiency should be under medical supervision. If headache, somnolence, tiredness, dizziness or visual disturbances occur driving a car or operating machinery is not recommended.
Side Effects
Transient gastric discomfort and pain, constipation, diarrhea and nausea. Hypersensitivity reactions include cutaneous rashes with pruritus and erythema.
