Selective GLP-1 Receptor Agonist

Selective GLP-1 Receptor Agonist. Lixisenatide 20 mcg.
PREF. PEN: 2 ×20 mcg/0.2 ml.
Init.: 10 mcg ×1/d within 1h prior to the
1st meal of the day or the eve. for 14 d.
Maint. dose; 20 mcg ×1/d is started on
15th d. Not for IV, IM use. If the dose has
been missed it should be inj. within the
1h prior to the next meal.
Tmt. of adults with type 2 diabetes mell. to achieve glycemic control in comb.with oral glucose-low. med. prod. and/or basal
insulin when these, together with diet and
exercise, do not provide adequate glycemic
control.
C/I: Hypersens.
