For multiple myeloma: 200 mg /d. A max number of 12 cycles of 6 weeks should be used. For an episode of cutaneous ENL, dosing should be init. at 100 mg to 300 mg/d orally and, only where symptoms remain uncontrolled, incr. by 100 mg at weekly intervals according to toler. and tox. Max: 400 mg/d
Multiple Myeloma : tmt of multiple myeloma after failure of standard ther • This prod. in comb. with dexamethasone is indic. for pts with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. • in comb. with melphalan and prednisone for the tmt of pts with untreated multiple myeloma > or = 65 years or ineligible for high dose chemother. Erythema Nodosum Leprosum (ENL) : For the acute tmt of the cutaneous manif. of mod. to sev. erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL). Not indic. as monother. for such ENL in the presence of mod. to sev. neuritis. As maint. ther. for prevention and suppression of the cutaneous manif. of ENL recurrence.
C/I: Hypersens. − patients below 12 years of age − pregnant women, or those who are breastfeeding − women of childbearing potent. who are not using, not willing or not able to use adeq. contraception− women of child-bearing potent. where there is an alternative tmt of noninferior efficacy available − males who are not able or willing to comply with adeq. contraception.
