All the Active Ingredient Drugs
Aminoglycoside. Tobramycin 28 mg. HARD CAPS (inhalat. pwdr): 224. Adults/
child over 6 yrs: 4 caps 2 x dly (BID),
taken in alt. cycles of 28 days on drugs
follow. by 28 days off. To be inhaled as
close as poss. to 12 hrs. apart, no less
than 6 hrs. apart.
Suppress. ther. chron. pulmonary infect.
due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa in adults,
child > 6 yrs with CF.
C/I: Hypersens to active subs./excips.,
Aminoglycosides.
Aminoglycoside. Tobramycin 0.3%. DROPS: 5 ml. 1 x 2 daily (in the
morning & evening) for a week.
Tmt. of superfic. eye infects. caused by
bactr. sens. to tobramycin.
Aminoglycoside. Tobramycin 0.3%. TUBE: 3.5 g. In mild dis. small amount of oint. 2-3 times per day. In more severe infect.: a small amount of oint. every 3-4 hrs. until improve., follow. which tmt. should be reduced prior to discount.
The length of the tmt. is dependent on the origin of the infec. and may vary from a couple of days up to some wks.
Antibiotic for the tmt. of eye infec. caused by bacteria sensitive to Tobramycin.
C/I: Hypersens. Hypersens. to aminoglycosides.
Aminoglycoside, Corticosteroid. Loteprednol Etabonate 5 mg/ml, Tobramycin 3 mg/ml. OPHTH. SUSP: 5 ml. Shake vigorously
bef. use. Apply 1-2 drops into
conjunct. sac affect. eye/s every 4-6
hrs. During initial 24-48 hrs dos. may
be incr. to every 1-2 hrs. Don’t
discontinue ther. premat. Initial: Not
more than 20 ml, presript. not to be
refilled without further evaluat.
Steroid-respons. inflamm. oc. conds. when
indicat. and where fic. bact. oc. infect/risk
of bact. oc. infect. exists.
