Dosage
The recommended dose is usually: 2-3 times a day after meals and before bedtime.
Dosage for children: According to doctor’s instructions.
Do not use the preparation in infants and children under 4 years of age for more than 3 weeks.
Discontinue use of the preparation after healing is achieved. If there is no improvement in your condition within 7 days, contact the doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Indications
Lesions of oral mucosa.
Contra-Indications
Hypersensitivity to triamcinolone, presence of fungal, viral, or bacterial infections of the mouth or throat.
Special Precautions
Use in pregnancy and lactation, pediatrics. Long term use.
Side Effects
Prolonged use may elicit systemic adverse reactions such as adrenal suppression, alteration of glucose metabolism, protein catabolism, peptic ulcer activation. Usually reversible.
Drug interactions
Phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, aminoglutethimide, rifampicin. Thiazide and loop diuretics, cardiac glycosides, acetazolamide. Oral hypoglycemics, insulin, antihypertensives, anabolic steroids, ophthalmic idoxuridine. NSAIDs, aspirin, other salicylates, coumarin anticoagulants, vaccines, estrogens.
