    The recommended initial dosage is generally 1 mg, once a day.
    The recommended maintenance dosage is 2-3 mg per day, in one dose.

    Parkinson’s disease symptoms. Combination therapy with L-dopa and as monotherapy for newly diagnosed illness.


    Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients and/or ergot alkaloids. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension, fibrotic reactions (thickening and scarring) of the heart of lung tissues and/or of the retroperitoneum. Cardiac valva damage. Pregnancy and lactation.

    Side Effects

    In addition to the desired effect of the medicine, adverse reactions may occur during the course of taking this medicine, for example: constipation, nausea/vomiting, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, headache, sleep disturbances, drowsiness, tiredness, somnolence, feverish feeling, dizziness, blushing. Side effects that require special attention: Psychotic effect (e.g. a desire to gamble, increased libido, hypersexuality), aggressiveness – refer to the doctor immediately! Depression, confusion, hallucinations, sudden onset of sleep, weakness, hair loss, edemas, acne, changes in the results of blood tests and/or liver function (increased enzymes activity), leg cramps, vision disturbances (rare) – continue treatment and refer to the doctor immediately. Effects that may indicate fibrosis (thickening and scarring) of the heart, lung and/or retroperitoneal tissues, e.g.: fainting, chest/ribs/waist/back/pelvic pain, movement disorders, swollen legs ,low blood pressure, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, changes in heart rate/palpitations – discontinue treatment and refer to the doctor immediately! Allergic reaction manifested by skin rash, itching, skin blisters, swelling of the face, tongue, neck and/or extremities, shortness of breath, exacerbation of asthma, shock – discontinue treatment and refer to the doctor immediately! In the event that you experience side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, or if there is a change in your general health, consult your doctor immediately.

    Drug interactions

    If you are taking another drug concomitantly, including non-prescription medicines, or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions. This is especially important for medicines belonging to the following groups: antiemetics (e.g.: metoclopramide), macrolide antibiotics (e.g.: erythromycin), drugs used for migraines (e.g.: ergot alkaloids), drugs used for mental disorders (e.g.: phenothiazines, thioxanthenes, butyrophenones), drugs used for lowering blood pressure.
